When the load current of the automatic winding machine increases, the copper loss of the winding coil will increase, so the temperature of the stator winding coil and the stator core will increase. Automatic winding machine load current during normal operation should not exceed the rated value on the nameplate, when the ambient temperature increases or decreases the load current will increase or decrease accordingly.
While monitoring whether the load current increases, the three-phase current balance should also be monitored. Generally, when the maximum value of the two-phase current does not exceed the rated current, the unbalance of each phase current should not exceed 10%. If there is a big difference, then the stator winding may have short circuit, open circuit, reverse connection and other faults or motor single-phase operation. At this point should be immediately stopped until the cause of the problem, troubleshooting before use.
Large capacity automatic winding machine control device is generally equipped with ammeter, at any time to monitor the current. Automatic winding machine with smaller capacity generally do not install ammeter, but should also be often measured with a clamp ammeter.
